Of course you can. Any database of HiFile or its part including viewer can be exported onto any medium or sent on INTERNET by E-mail. This means that the database can be opened and viewed on any PC computer (meeting requirements of minimum configuration) without having to install HiFile.
Do I need another program for controlling e.g.: scanner, digital camera, printer…?
HiFile fully works with external devices with no need of help of other applications. However, it is needed to have appropriate driver installed and the connection must work without problems. HiFile cooperates on importing of files from external devices with TWAIN interface which is part of the driver.
How about searching in the database?
While developing the software we dwelled on option of searching. User has large scale of possibilities of specifying his/her question in current version (2.0). User can combine searching in keywords, commentaries, names and dates in any way. It is possible to set searching engagement and to use logical operators. A new option is incremental searching in keywords.
